My admiration and respect for those who are giving is at an all-time high. In spite of (or perhaps because of) a struggling economy and uncertain future, you open your hearts-without reserve-to others in need.

Why do you give? You give because you know you are impacting lives: real help for real people. And why do you give to United Way when there are a myriad of charitable organizations where you could donate and volunteer? You choose to "Give United" because of our organizational strength, our local partnerships, and our community leadership.

As a national and international organization, United Way has a track record as a fiscally sound and trustworthy nonprofit. Because we partner with local organizations, your contributions are targeted where the needs are greatest-here, in our own community. And with over 1,300 community leaders participating, you are part of a robust team of individuals committed to helping people in crisis and moving them towards self-sufficiency.
