UNITED WAY EXCEEDS GOAL WITH RECORD BREAKING CAMPAIGN
April 8, 2007 (Riverside, California) This year’s campaign set a new record wiaith $4,515,688 raised during the 2006 United Way
of the Inland Valleys Campaign, exceeding the goal set by
the volunteer Campaign Cabinet. The announcement was made
at the Campaign Celebration Luncheon at the Moreno Valley
Conference and Recreation Center Grand Valley Ball Room, Thursday,
March 29th.
Awards, congratulations and appreciation were given to the
hundreds of campaign coordinators, companies and organizations
that conduct a United Way campaign.
The Best of the Best Campaign Award went to Abbott Vascular
raising more than $406,000 through their United Way campaign.
Outstanding Campaigns recognized included: Costco #746 of
Lake Elsinore for the Outstanding First Time Campaign, The
Merit Companies for the Outstanding Pacesetter Campaign, Lake
Elsinore Unified School District for the Outstanding Education
Campaign, City of Banning for the Outstanding Municipality
United Way Exceeds Goal with Record Breaking Campaign, United
Steel Workers of America Local 6703 / Luxfer Plant for the
Outstanding Labor Campaign, Abbott Vascular for the Outstanding
Leadership Giving Campaign and Riverside Area Rape Crisis
Center for the Outstanding Member Agency Campaign. Riverside
Community Hospital was recognized for the Most Creative Campaign,
Sheree Jenkins with the City of Riverside received recognition
as the Hostess with the Mostest and Guaranty Bank was awarded
the Awesome Bump Up Award. Twenty companies and their employees
were recognized as the Top 20 Employee Giving Campaigns. Top
20 Employee Giving Campaign Awards went to AT&T/C.W.A.,
Local 9400 City of Moreno Valley, City of Riverside, Costco
#491, Costco #746 of Lake Elsinore, Costco #960 of Mira Loma,
Costco #961 of Mira Loma, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Kaiser Permanente
Riverside Medical Center, Lowe’s #1987 of Lake Elsinore,
Lowe’s Distribution #966 of Perris, Lowe’s Flatbed
