KAISER PERMANENTE EXTREME MAKEOVER
BENEFITS RIVERSIDE YWCA
As a part of their United Way campaign,
Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center will be doing an
“extreme makeover” of the Riverside YWCA this
Saturday, October 15. Kaiser employees, their family members,
along with Kaiser Construction staff, will be donating their
time to get the work done.
“We are very excited to be able to do an extreme makeover
of one of United Way of the Inland Valleys’ member agencies,”
said Danette Buoye, United Way coordinator for Kaiser Permanente
Riverside Medical Center. “So many people from our community
benefit from the programs offered by the YWCA, and it is a
pleasure to create an even nicer environment for the Y to
provide its services.”
Following a 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast, the Kaiser volunteers
will be painting the entire exterior of the building at 8172
Magnolia Avenue, including a new logo on the outside wall.
Interior work includes painting specific portions of the interior,
install new cabinetry in the kitchen, install new flooring
for specific portions of the interior, and an overall clean
up.
In addition, landscaping work will be done. This includes
repairing sprinklers, re-seeding of the lawn, trimming of
all trees and shrubs and new plantings in the front and rear
flower beds.
Sponsoring vendors are: Custom Mureau Painting, Frazee Paint
& Wall Covering, Empire Floorcovering, Inc. and Barrios
Associates Landscape Design. They are donating paint,
flooring, landscaping and labor for the extreme makeover.
