2005 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIRS ANNOUNCED
(Riverside, California)— Banning City Councilwoman,
Brenda Salas and Matt Friedlander, Group Training Manager,
Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Car Sales, have been appointed Co-Chairs
of the 2005 United Way of the Inland Valleys’ Campaign.
“We are honored to serve as the 2005 Campaign Co-Chairs
for United Way of the Inland Valleys,” Friedlander said.
“The last ten campaigns have each set new records, and
we look forward exceeding the record amount raised last year.
The more money we raise means better lives for the families
in need that our agencies serve.”
Councilwoman Salas added, “We have recruited enthusiastic
volunteers for our Campaign Cabinet. Their dedication and
willingness to serve, along with continued community support,
assures that the 2005 campaign will be a great success.”
Friedlander headed the New Account Development Committee for
the 2004 Campaign. This committee developed a plan in which
any company, regardless of size, could give back to their
community through United Way.
Salas chaired the Pass Area Region for the past two years.
The Pass Area raised $97,000 in 2004 and $50,200 in 2003 under
Salas’ leadership. This represents a 398% increase since
2002. This is the largest increase among all of United Way
of the Inland Valleys’ seven regions.
United Way of the Inland Valleys supports over 40 agencies
providing programs and services to residents of Greater Riverside,
Moreno Valley, Temecula, Banning, Beaumont, Cherry Valley,
Canyon Lake, Cabazon, Glen Avon, Jurupa, Lake Elsinore, Mira
Loma, Murrieta, Pedley, Rubidoux, Wildomar, and Perris.
