GREAT NEIGHBOR AWARD NOMINATIONS SOUGHT

(Riverside, California)— United Way of the Inland Valleys is seeking nominations for the Fourth Annual Great Neighbor Awards. The Great Neighbor Awards were designed to recognize people who work to better their neighborhood making it a safe, happy and healthy place to live. Neighbors in the United Way of the Inland Valleys service area are able to nominate their neighbors to show appreciation and recognize them for being a Great Neighbor.

The Great Neighbor Awards winners will be honored on Friday, August 12, 2005 at the Lake Elsinore Diamond. The awards will be presented at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Lake Elsinore Storm game vs. the High Desert Mavericks. The Great Neighbor Awards are sponsored by the San Diego Padres and the Lake Elsinore Storm. The Storm is a Class A affiliate of the Padres.

The deadline for nominations is July 15, 2005. Nomination forms may be obtained by phoning United Way of the Inland Valleys at 951.697.4700. The name, address and phone number of both the nominee and the person submitting the nomination needs to be included. The most important part of the nomination is the description of what makes your neighbor a Great Neighbor. The reasons why the nominee deserves the award should be 100 words or less.
