LINDA ITZEN BEGINS TERM
AS
UNITED WAY OF THE INLAND VALLEYS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
(Riverside, California) - Linda
L. Itzen, Certified Financial Planner, owner of an American
Express Financial Advisors franchise, has been selected as
Chairman of the Board for United Way of the Inland Valleys
for 2005-2006. She succeeds Mark Hawkins, CEO, Altura Credit
Union, who served as Chairman in 2004-2005.
“It is a great honor to be selected to lead the United
Way board in 2005.” Itzen said. “I look forward
to helping expand the presence of United Way throughout our
Inland Valleys service area. We have done a great job in providing
for the needs of our community in the past, but as our region
grows, United Way needs to grow too. This is our challenge.”
Itzen has a long record of community involvement. She served
as United Way Campaign Co-Chair in 2001. For the past three
years, she has chaired the Leadership Giving program for the
campaign.
A member of the Riverside East Rotary Club since 1990, she
served as President in 2000-2001, and is a multiple Rotary
Paul Harris Fellow.
Itzen and her husband Bernie live
in Riverside. They have two married children and one granddaughter.
