2003 UNITED
WAY CAMPAIGN CHAIR ANNOUNCED
FOR THE PASS AREA
August
9, 2003 (Banning, California)— Brenda
Salas, Banning City Councilwoman
and Mayor Pro-Tem, has been appointed
the Pass Area Regional Chair of
the 2003 United Way of the Inland
Valleys’ Campaign.
“
I am excited to be a part of United
Way’s campaign in the Pass
Area. A great committee is dedicated
to this endeavor and we anticipate
our efforts will benefit many of
our neighbors,” said Salas.
The Campaign Cabinet is comprised
of local business and community
leaders who coordinate fund-raising
activities for United Way. The
2003 committee members include
Michael Brooks, City of Banning
Chief of Police; Jim Coleman,
City of Banning Police Department;
Debbie
Franklin, Banning Youth Center;
Rita Chapparosa, City of Banning;
Tribal Chair Maurice Lyons, Morongo
Band of Mission Indians; Raven
Lopez-Workman, Morongo Band of
Mission Indians; Frank W. Passarella,
Beaumont Unified School District;
and Ameal Moore, City of Riverside.
The Pass Area includes the cities
of Beaumont, Banning, Cabazon,
and Cherry Valley.
United Way of
the Inland Valleys supports over
80 programs and services,
serving residents of Greater
Riverside, Moreno Valley, Temecula,
Banning,
Beaumont, Cherry Valley, Canyon
Lake, Cabazon, Glen Avon, Jurupa,
Lake Elsinore, Mira Loma, Murrieta,
Pedley, Rubidoux, Wildomar, and
Perris.
