2003 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIRS ANNOUNCED

June 20, 2003 (Riverside, California)— Riverside City Councilman, Ward 2 Ameal Moore and Diane Sessions, Executive Director of the Economic Development Corporation of Southwest Riverside County have been appointed Co-Chairs of the 2003 United Way of the Inland Valleys’ Campaign.

“ It is with privilege and pleasure that we serve as the 2003 Campaign Co-Chairs for United Way of the Inland Valleys,” Moore said.  “As we embark on this year’s giving campaign, we proudly recognize the exceptional generosity of those who help improve lives and build community resources for families in need.”

Co-Chair Diane Sessions added: “We have recruited enthusiastic volunteers for our Campaign Cabinet.  With fourteen new Cabinet members and seven seasoned members, we are already well underway in making the 2003 campaign a great success.” 

The Campaign Cabinet is comprised of local business and community leaders who coordinate fund-raising activities for United Way.  The 2003 Campaign Cabinet Members include: Rich Biber, Valley Health System; Wes Brooks, Central Labor Council - AFL/CIO; Greg Brown, US Bank; George Caravalho, City of Riverside; Jock Fischer, Riverside County Office of Education; Joe Frederickson, The Press-Enterprise; Harry Freedman, Youth Service Center; Linda Itzen, CFP, American Express; Gary Kelley, VNA Hospice; Robin Lang, Alemar Management Corporation;

Ann Matich, Riverside Community Hospital; Ricki McManuis, Riverside County’s Credit Union; Kathy MacDougall, Luxfer Gas Cylinders, Inc.; Kathy McAdara, Operation SafeHouse; Lauranne Moyer, Lowe's of Perris; Salvatore G. Rotella, 
Riverside Community College; Larry Rubio, Riverside Transit Agency; Brenda Salas, City of Banning; and Jaime Wesolowski, Riverside Community Hospital.

United Way of the Inland Valleys supports over 80 programs and services, serving residents of Greater Riverside, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Banning, Beaumont, Cherry Valley, Canyon Lake, Cabazon, Glen Avon, Jurupa, Lake Elsinore, Mira Loma, Murrieta, Pedley, Rubidoux, Wildomar, and Perris.
