The Board of Directors of United Way of the Inland Valleys allocated over $110,000 in grants to support new and expanded programs that address United Way of the Inland Valleys’ identified problem needs. Those organizations receiving seed grant funding address youth at-risk, children, elder care and abuse, and basic subsistence, which are targeted areas of need.

CARE CONNEXXUS, INC RECEIVES $25,000 to support the program’s expansion, representing services for an additional 25 frail elderly adults. The expansion targets residents in the Jurupa Region. "The elderly population of Jurupa will benefit directly from this grant. We appreciate the care, concern, and funding United Way of the Inland Valleys demonstrates to those who are not able many times to take care of themselves," said Executive Director Carol Nottley.

FAMILY SERVICE ASSOCIATION RECEIVES $25,000 for the Mead Valley Wellness Center. Funding will provide partial funding for the project staff (LVN and Medical Assistant) for this new program, which is projected to begin September 1. The goal is to prepare students for future leadership.
