2002 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIRS
ANNOUNCED
June 3, 2002 (Riverside, California)Mark
Hawkins of Riverside Countys Credit Union in Riverside
and Eric Solander of Kaiser Permanente Medical Center of Riverside
have been appointed co-chairs of the 2002 United Way of the
Inland Valleys Campaign.
"Eric and I are delighted to take the
reins of the United Way campaign at this time," Hawkins
said. "In a difficult year, last years campaign
took United Way to a new giving level over $4 million, and
we hope to continue the upward trend this year."
Co-Chair Eric Solander added: "We have
recruited enthusiastic supporters for our Campaign Cabinet.
They are already well underway in making the 2002 campaign
a great success."
The Campaign Cabinet is comprised of local
business and community leaders who coordinate fund-raising
activities for United Way. The 2002 Campaign Cabinet Members
include: Bryan Rogers, Riverside Community Hospital; Susie
Leivas, Leivas Accounting; Ameal Moore, Councilman City of
Riverside; Gary Orso, Riverside County Assessor; Candace Hunter-Wiest,
Inland Empire National Bank; Ann Matich, Riverside Community
Hospital; Dr. Lawrence Geraty, La Sierra University; Teresa
Kolbas, KATY Radio; Bill Vasquez, City of Perris; Tom Powell,
THORCalifornia; Mark Malak, YMCA; Linda Itzen, American Express;
Dennis Murray, Perris Union High School; Sue Tatosian, Sues
Bakery; Wes Books, Central Labor Council AFL/CIO; Cathy Boston,
