An Appealing Appeal

No this is not about "peeling" potatoes; but it could be a recipe for helping those in our community who need help the most. Nor, is it about "peals" of laughter; although it could be about bringing smiles to the faces of our neighbors who have fallen on hard times.

This is an appeal for you to give to this year's United Way Campaign. Yes, you may have already given, and we are very grateful for your generosity; however, the need is much [0.9375] greater than ever before and sources of help are drying up everywhere we look. Our only real hope is you. You are on this email because you have shown before that you are the type of person who helps when you can, whether your gift is large or small. When many people come together and combine their gifts in a "united way", many other people get help and lives change. We are asking you to ride to the rescue once again.

Imagine if you will what it is like at this time of year for folks who followed the rules, did their best and still lost their jobs when their company closed.
